The Role
As a Director, this role provides strategic leadership to the team, working closely with other Directors and Partners to lead and develop our go to market strategy while being accountable for the high quality delivery to our clients. It is a highly accountable leadership role that requires you to wear many hats, but you’ll be well supported by the rest of us.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Leading the development of our growth strategy and developing high impact propositions to take to market
* Building enduring sector relationships and becoming the go to person for our clients on relevant market opportunities
* Collaborating closely with other KPMG capability and sector leads to build consensus on priority targets and activities
* Senior leadership of complex client engagements, including the ability to operate effectively at Board level, providing robust insight to client problems
* Overseeing the delivery of client deliverables, including accountability for quality assurance and risk management
* Being an inspirational leader; managing, coaching, mentoring and motivating your colleagues
* Providing training, guidance and leadership to the junior team members
* Having senior input into team headcount and recruitment decisions

The Person

For this opportunity, we’re looking for someone with significant leadership experience in Project, Programme and Portfolio (P3M), delivering complex transformation in challenging environments. Ideally you will have transitioned from a delivery, controls or functional PM role into consulting, providing strategic advice at C-Suite level.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
* Capital Investment planning and portfolio management
* Digital, data and AI transformation and implementation
* Capital delivery transformations
* Business process improvement(s)
* Major programmes / projects setup and operation
* Target operating model (TOM) design and implementation
* Designing and enhancing Project, Programme or Portfolio controls
* Designing, establishing and leading transformation management offices (TMO) or project management offices (PMO)
* Leading major programme/ project maturity assessment and assurance
* Troubled Project/Programme reviews and implementing recovery plans
* A proven history of operating as an effective leader in a complex P3M organisation and/or consulting firm
* Proven experience of managing and leading multi-disciplinary consulting teams of 5-20 consultants
* Broad capability across business development, delivery and line management
* Specialist Project, Programme and/or Portfolio management expertise with a passion for the future of the profession
* Sector experience in Infrastructure, Transport, Aerospace, Defence, Industrial, Financial Services, Utilities or Manufacturing (preferred)
* Experience in managing and influencing senior-level stakeholders and sustaining key relationships
* Excellent commercial awareness with experience of owning and managing client accounts and bids
* Management and leadership of multi-disciplinary teams
* Driven, resilient, adaptable and energetic to make a difference
* Strong academics and/or demonstrable career progression
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Relevant professional certification – e.g. APM ChPP/PPQ; MoP; MSP; PRINCE2
