Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 (depending on experience)

They are seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join their successful English department from January 2026. This full-time, long-term position would suit both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to grow in a forward-thinking, friendly school community.
The Role:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that ignite students’ enthusiasm for language and literature across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in developing students’ analytical, reading, and writing skills, helping them build confidence and achieve excellent outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
* Teach English Language and Literature across KS3–KS4
* Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that inspire progress
* Assess and provide feedback to support student achievement
* Promote extracurricular opportunities such as reading clubs and competitions
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum
* Contribute to the positive ethos and wider life of the school
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred)
* Proven experience teaching English at secondary level
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for literature and language
* A reflective, student-centred approach to teaching
* Excellent behaviour management and organisational skills
* Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
