We are seeking to appoint an innovative Teaching Assistant ready to develop their leadership skills whilst supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.
We are looking to employ a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support learning through working closely with the class teacher to ensure effective teaching and learning.
You may be required to support the class in the short-term absence of a class teacher, ensuring that there is no detrimental effect to learning. You will need to be flexible in providing both planned and unplanned support to meet the needs of our learners.
The post would suit someone with flexibility, enthusiasm and sensitivity as well as an excellent understanding of ALN. The ideal candidate will have experience of effective classroom management techniques. You will be supported by a compassionate middle and senior leadership team in order to develop your own leadership skills as you act as a mentor to Teaching Assistants new to the school.
The candidate must be willing to demonstrate they are a team player alongside our established team of Teaching Assistants, maintaining our core values by:
1. Enabling learners to be successful through developing and supporting excellent attitudes to learning.
2. Building strong relationships with learners, enabling learning to continue in the absence of their class teacher.
3. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. You must be resourceful, positive, emotionally resilient and have a holistic approach to supporting the needs of children and young people. An ability to contribute to the warm, caring ethos of our school is essential.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.

This post requires a registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) under the category of School Learning Support Worker and registration will need to be in place prior to commencement in the role.
