<div><h3>Tenancy Sustainment Officer</h3><p>Location: Leyland | Employment Type: Full Time | Contract: Temporary – 6 Months</p><h3>Overview</h3><p>A respected Housing Association in Leyland is looking to recruit an experienced Tenancy Sustainment Officer to support vulnerable tenants and help sustain successful tenancies through proactive support, tenancy interventions, and partnership working with external agencies.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Deliver high‑quality tenancy support services to new and existing tenants, helping customers maintain stable and sustainable tenancies while promoting independence and preventing tenancy breakdown.</li><li>Complete pre‑tenancy affordability and sustainability assessments.</li><li>Manage a caseload of tenants requiring tenancy sustainment support.</li><li>Develop, monitor, and review tailored support plans.</li><li>Support vulnerable tenants with complex needs through one‑to‑one, telephone, and crisis support.</li><li>Work closely with internal departments and external agencies including DWP, social services and voluntary organisations.</li><li>Identify safeguarding concerns and escalade issues appropriately.</li><li>Assist tenants with welfare benefit claims, budgeting and income maximisation.</li><li>Promote arrears prevention and support tenancy sustainment initiatives.</li><li>Maintain accurate case records and monitor support outcomes.</li><li>Encourage customer engagement and reduce tenancy failures and abandonments.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Previous experience within tenancy sustainment, housing support, homelessness or tenancy management setting, supporting vulnerable individuals and customers with complex needs.</li><li>Experience working within social housing, supported housing or tenancy support services.</li><li>Knowledge of welfare benefits, income maximisation and financial inclusion support.</li><li>Understanding of safeguarding procedures and risk assessment processes.</li><li>Experience working in partnership with statutory and voluntary sector agencies.</li><li>Strong communication, organisation and case management skills.</li><li>The ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload effectively.</li><li>A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.</li></ul><h3>Contract Details</h3><ul><li>Working Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week.</li><li>Length of Contract: 3 month contract.</li><li>Pay: £19.62 per hour (LTD company rate). PAYE equivalent £16.73 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.</li></ul></div>
