The successful Sociology Teacher will inspire students in Key Stages 4 and 5 to critically examine society and social interactions. Responsibilities Design and deliver stimulating Sociology Teacher lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5. Prepare students thoroughly for examinations in Sociology, ensuring a deep understanding of key theories. Cultivate a classroom environment that encourages debate and critical analysis of sociological concepts. Assess and track student progress in sociology, providing insightful feedback as a Sociology Teacher. Contribute to the development of the sociology curriculum and relevant teaching materials. Promote an awareness of social issues and the diverse perspectives within society. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Sociology. Proven experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level, including Key Stage 5. A strong academic background in sociology and a passion for the subject. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, capable of leading engaging discussions as a Sociology Teacher.
