Across JN Bentley and our design and build companies MMB and JBA Bentley, annual revenue now exceeds £500 million. We’re looking for a full time HR Specialist to join our HR team based in Skipton. The HR Specialist will support in delivering People initiatives including Wellbeing, Talent/Succession, Compensation and Reward. This role would be ideal for a HR Advisor who is wanting to move into a broader people role carrying out project work. We have an ambitious plan for 2026 and beyond so it’s an exciting time to join us and be part of a wider people team. As HR Specialist You Will Engage and educate the Wellbeing Champion Network, deliver the annual wellbeing campaign plan, and create/update resources for managers and employees. Support mental health awareness and access to support, while staying updated on external wellbeing trends and embedding relevant themes internally. Collaborate with the wider people team to deliver the annual People plan, in previous years this has included engagement surveys, onboarding improvements, and manager upskilling. Support annual talent mapping and succession planning activities, including analysis, reporting, and sharing outputs with stakeholders. Create guidance for managers and ensure talent and succession processes are embedded consistently across the business, aligning them with career pathways. Support annual pay review processes and benchmarking pay and benefits against industry standards. Assist in reviewing compensation frameworks (salaries, incentives, recognition, benefits), develop recognition strategies, and propose improvements to benefit offerings. What You’ll Need Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Collaborative approach to working with team members and the wider business. Curious mindset with ability to integrate external insights and internal data. Skilled in preparing engaging communications for a diverse workforce. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and draw conclusions. Proven problem-solving ability and capacity to meet tight deadlines. Self-starter with proactive workload management. Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel, and experience working with qualitative and quantitative data. Willing to travel to other offices and site locations as required.
