We are recruiting a PSDP (Health & Safety Technical Advisory Division) for a well-established Irish consultancy that offers 3 work from home days a week, company pension plan, frequent career progression opportunities, and many more.

This is a key role for an experienced health and safety professional who will support the delivery of high-quality, compliant design safety coordination across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Core Requirements

* Minimum Level 8 Honours Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a Construction-related discipline.
* Relevant IOSH-Approved Project Supervisor Design Phase training
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the health and safety industry, with a strong focus on PSDP.

Key Responsibilities:

As a PSDP, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring health and safety compliance throughout the design and planning stages of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Design Safety Coordination

* Act as the designated PSDP across multiple projects.
* Review design documentation and designer risk assessments for legislative compliance.
* Provide expert advice on design safety to internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain Safety in Design Strategy documents.

Project Safety Oversight

* Manage and review project RAMS and maintain a comprehensive RAMS register.
* Evaluate contractor safety documentation and performance.
* Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety plans.
* Coordinate closely with PSCS representatives on project sites.

Policy & Compliance

* Support the development and annual review of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
* Ensure all safety systems and documentation are accurate, current, and accessible.

Technical Leadership

* Provide technical input across office projects in design safety coordination.
* Review technical documents for alignment with best practices and legislation.
* Stay informed on regulatory changes, technologies, and industry standards.

Internal Management of PSDP Projects

* Commercial management of PSDP role
* Ensuring quality control of projects
* Management of resources to ensure role delivered within scope / agreement
* Developing good working relationships with clients, design team, contractor etc
