Project Assistant (Fixed Term)
Location: Dumfries
Salary: £13,873.33 - £14,800
Hours: 16 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year
The Poverty and Inequalities Team are recruiting a Project Assistant responsible for coordinating projects such as the Free School Uniform Project and the Free Warm Winter Clothes Project.
The ideal candidate will have experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan multiple events in a short timeframe.
This role involves hands-on work including transporting volunteers, collecting donations, sorting clothes, and being present at events. Willingness to actively participate alongside volunteers is essential.
This is a fixed-term position for six months. The successful candidate must be willing to work weekends and evenings as required. Travel across the region will be necessary to deliver events.
Secondment may be considered; approval from your line manager is required before applying.
This position is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults under the PVG scheme. Candidates must join or update the PVG scheme before employment.
Applicants previously residing outside the UK within the last five years must provide police checks from their country of residence.
