Our client is a leading global agency specializing in employee reward/engagement, sales incentives, and customer loyalty programs for global clients. They have experienced exponential growth recently and continue to expand organically.
We are recruiting a Business Development Director for a traditional hunter-oriented sales role, where customer intimacy and consultative solutions-based selling are essential for success.
Responsibilities:
1. Achieve and exceed personal sales targets.
2. Prospect actively through cold calling, social media, follow-ups, and qualifying opportunities to close sales.
3. Initially focus on selling a primary solution to prospects and/or targeting mid-size organizations.
4. Follow up on leads from marketing activities, managing the entire sales process to closing.
5. Develop strategic account plans, stakeholder maps, client insights, and research to support sales goals.
6. Collaborate with SMEs to create compelling solutions that meet client needs.
7. Use CRM to record contacts and opportunities.
8. Contribute to sales and business planning.
9. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
10. Generate high sales activity levels and meet KPIs.
11. Create proposals that differentiate the company and win business.
12. Develop strategic client partnerships and grow existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling.
Skills Required:
1. 10+ years of B2B sales experience targeting medium to large clients.
2. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and closing deals over £1m.
3. Experience selling complex solutions with long cycles and multiple stakeholders.
4. Self-driven, proactive hunter with outbound prospecting skills.
5. Experience selling to HR, Sales, and Marketing leaders is preferred.
6. Background in employee engagement, rewards, incentives, and loyalty sectors.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Tenacity, resilience, and determination.
9. Proficiency with CRM, MS Office, and relevant technology.
