Governance, Quality and Risk Manager | Leicester | Full Time | Permanent
Spire Leicester are looking for an experienced Governance, Quality and Risk Manager on a full-time permanent basis. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.
Are you passionate about raising the bar in clinical quality and patient safety? At Spire Healthcare, we're seeking a dynamic and proactive Clinical Governance and Risk Manager to collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services, Hospital Director, and Lead Consultant for Clinical Governance. Your role will involve driving clinical excellence, quality, and the Clinical Governance Framework within the hospital.
This is more than a management role—it's your chance to shape and embed a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability across all clinical services.
What you'll be doing:
1. Champion clinical governance and risk management throughout the hospital
2. Lead incident investigations, audits, and implement robust action plans
3. Support clinical teams to meet internal quality standards
4. Assist all departments in ensuring compliance with CQC and other external/internal audits and actions
5. Develop methods and processes to manage clinical risk
6. Collaborate with senior leaders to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks across services
What we're looking for:
* A clinical qualification (e.g., RN/RGN/ODP) with valid registration (NMC/HCPC) is desirable
* Proven experience in clinical governance, risk, and quality improvement
* Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards
* Detail-oriented with data analysis skills to drive change
* Quality Improvement (QI) or Project Management qualification/training
* Computer literacy, particularly in Word and Excel, with ability to analyze and present data
Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills.
