We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Customer Care team in Glasgow as a Customer Care Specialist Apprentice. The role focuses on ensuring efficient and effective customer service operations, supporting international trade compliance, and optimizing logistics processes.
Responsibilities
* Develop strong expertise in general freight forwarding processes and industry requirements to support customers and ensure high satisfaction across our core logistics services.
* Collaborate closely with Operational Care Teams to fulfil and exceed customer expectations for timely, compliant, and efficient movement of cargo.
* Maintain accurate and compliant documentation for all general freight shipments, ensuring full traceability and readiness for internal or external audits.
* Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers to monitor shipments and resolve any issues throughout the transport process.
* Proactively manage and resolve exceptions related to delays, damages, or regulatory compliance concerns to protect service quality and maintain supply chain reliability.
* Deliver excellent customer service through clear, timely communication and swift responses to shipment‑related enquiries.
Qualifications
* Minimum entry requirement: Five GCSEs at grades 3–9 / A*–D including Maths & English.
* Passion for providing excellent customer service, strong work ethic, and effective communication skills.
* Good planning and organisation skills with the ability to multitask and be a self‑starter.
* Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.

Key Information
* Apprenticeship Contract: Fixed term – 2 years.
* Working hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, including 1‑hour lunch.
* Place of work: Glasgow – onsite full‑time until performance expectations are met and initial training completed. Opportunity to work from home up to 2 days a week after approval.
