£428.85 PAYE / £550 Umbrella per day.

Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Castle Point Borough Council to recruit a Public Initiatives Project Manager on a full-time, temporary basis.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to work on-site 3 days per week,

The Opportunity
To support the Assistant Director Environment and working with the Environment Team on a number of projects related to the Councils £2.5 million Public Initiatives Fund, these projects will include rejuvenation and improvements to the Councils playgrounds, parks & open spaces.
The role will involve:-
1. Initiating and producing procurement documents for the projects, ensuring projects will be completed on time and within budget, while also adhering to environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices. This includes managing programme and project timelines, budgets, and resources, as well as collaborating with stakeholders, meeting governance requirements and ensuring project compliance.
2. Planning and Scheduling - Developing plans for the projects, timelines, and milestones, including identifying dependencies and potential risks and reporting these to senior management and through internal governance.
3. Looking at how the projects within our parks and open spaces can minimise anti-social behaviour and become safe spaces
4. Risk Management - Identifying managing and mitigating potential project risks, including environmental risks.
5. Stakeholder Management - Collaborating with stakeholders, including internal teams, external contractors, and community members, to ensure successful project delivery.
6. Maintaining accurate records and reports on project progress, including financial data, environmental compliance, and waste reduction efforts.
7. To work with the council communications team for the promotion of the various projects
Accountabilities
8. To establish separate programmes for each project
9. To assist with the production of specifications for each project
10. To liaise with the Councils procurement leads
11. To arrange meeting with stakeholders
12. To identify and risk with each project and ensure these risks are reduced
13. To ensure each project has driving down anti-social behaviour and making safe spaces at the centre of its outcome, particularly in our parks & open spaces
