Description Children, Education and Justice Services Stenhouse Primary School Pupil Support Worker Salary: £26,337 - £28,835 (pro rata for part time & sessional 39 weeks) Hours: 18 The ESB is a specialised provision which is attended by children who have a diagnosis of autism and other complex needs. We have two classes with eight pupils in each, supported by two class teachers, two EYPs and three Pupil Support Workers. The successful candidate will work in both classes. We are looking for someone with experience of supporting children with additional support needs as well as someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated, understanding and has patience to support our young people in a nurturing learning environment. Being a strong team player is essential as is the ability to reflect on practice. The working days are: Monday - Wednesday 8.30am – 3.15pm This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
