<div><p>Health and Safety Manager</p><p>£50,000 per annum + O/T or Shift Allowance (where applicable)</p><h3>Working Hours</h3><p>8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 1:00pm finish on Friday. Shift Pattern: Days</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><b>Compliance & Leadership</b><ul><li>Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety policies, procedures, and strategies across all company sites.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and industry-specific health and safety legislation.</li><li>Lead internal and external audits, inspections, and certification processes.</li><li>Maintain compliance with legislation and standards including HASWA, COSHH, RIDDOR, PUWER, and other applicable regulations.</li><li>Provide leadership and guidance to management teams on all health and safety matters.</li></ul></li><li><b>Risk Management</b><ul><li>Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement effective control measures.</li><li>Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.</li><li>Monitor and analyse safety performance metrics and KPIs.</li><li>Ensure third-party contractors comply with company health and safety standards and legal requirements.</li><li>Support emergency planning and incident response procedures.</li></ul></li><li><b>Training & Culture</b><ul><li>Design and deliver health and safety training programmes for employees at all levels.</li><li>Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across the business.</li><li>Encourage employee engagement and participation in health and safety initiatives.</li><li>Keep employees informed of policy updates, legislation changes, and best practices.</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Experience & Skills Required</h3><ul><li>Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager or similar role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.</li><li>Experience managing audits, inspections, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Excellent communication and leadership skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites/projects.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (essential).</li><li>NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable).</li><li>IOSH Membership (desirable).</li><li>Full UK Driving Licence preferred.</li></ul></div>
