Our client is currently seeking a IT Helpdesk Customer Specialist to join their dynamic team in Barnsley. The Helpdesk team is at the heart of the business, providing internal IT support across the company. No two days are the same, so adaptability, multitasking, and a proactive mindset are essential. What the successful IT Helpdesk Customer Specialist will Do: Provide high-quality 1st line IT support via phone, email, live chat, Webex, and remote desktop tools. Log and manage support tickets, ensuring updates are recorded and issues resolved within SLA targets. Perform routine administrative tasks such as onboarding/offboarding and contract changes. Collaborate with internal departments to maintain service excellence and improve processes. What the IT Helpdesk Customer Specialist will do : At least 1 year of experience in an IT Helpdesk or Service Desk role. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Ability to stay calm under pressure, manage competing priorities, and work independently. A reliable, conscientious attitude and strong customer service skills.
