We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Plymouth. This role is an excellent opportunity for graduates with a 2:1 or above in Psychology (or a related field) who are looking to build hands-on experience supporting children with additional needs.
You will work closely with pupils who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and others who require additional support, helping them access learning, develop social and emotional skills, and thrive within a structured, nurturing environment.
The Role
As a Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide individual or small-group support (up to five pupils) for primary-aged children with a range of needs, including ASD, moderate learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges
* Implement behaviour and emotional regulation strategies, supporting pupils with routine, social skills, and positive engagement
* Assist with both academic and pastoral development to help learners reach their full potential
* Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff to promote an inclusive, encouraging learning atmosphere

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
