It’s collaborative, reflective, and child-centred. About the Role You’ll be part of a supportive EYFS team, working across Nursery and Reception. Your days will be a mix of structured play, guided activities, and those magic in-the-moment learning opportunities that Early Years does best. You’ll: Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum through purposeful play and exploration Help plan and set up activities that promote communication, language, physical development, and early literacy and numeracy Create calm, engaging spaces where children feel safe to take risks and try new things Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families Use observations to track progress against EYFS learning goals Follow safeguarding, hygiene, and health and safety procedures with confidence and care If you understand that routine brings security, and play builds brains, you’ll fit right in. About You Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years Educator qualification Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development milestones Experience supporting children aged 3–5 in a school or nursery setting Calm, patient, and organised, even when it’s a little bit loud Confident supporting toileting, transitions, and day-to-day classroom routines A team player who communicates clearly and warmly You’re the kind of person who spots the child hanging back and gently brings them in.
