Your Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be a trusted member of the Corplex UK team with functional responsibility for the provision and maintenance of a safe and environmentally conscious workplace for our employees and visitors to our site and for the containment and resolution of product and service non-conformities.
Your Goal
Identify, and eliminate or control, risks that present a significant threat to the safety of our employees and visitors to the Gloucester site. For each significant risk identified, lead the prioritisation, containment, root cause analysis, and allocation of corrective actions and proactively expedite their completion with a focus upon preserving human safety above all else.
Identify, and eliminate or control, risks that present a significant threat to our customers receiving products or services that fail to conform to their stated specification. For each significant risk identified, lead the containment, root cause analysis, and allocation of corrective actions prior to proactively expediting their completion with a focus upon mitigating associated impacts to customer sales order delivery commitments.
React immediately to incidents that present a significant risk to human safety and prioritise your personal time and resources to their control or elimination above all else. Second only to this will be your focus upon transparent communication of customer impacts and internal liability in the event of non-conformity.
Responsibilities
· Develop, manage, monitor, promote and report on the QHSE performance of the site
· Carry out risk assessments identifying and investigating any issues across all aspects of QHSE working with key internal and external stakeholders to eliminate risk.
· Develop site action plans based on your findings and drive improvement, monitoring progress and reporting on the site's QHSE performance.
· Monitoring and advising on all QHSE matters, issues and concerns to ensure Company compliance with statutory requirements, Company and contractual requirements and good industry practice.
· Responsible for liaising with third party inspections/auditors regarding company accreditation and compliance matters, e.g. HSE, Local Authority, Fire Services, Insurance, ISO accreditation, etc
· Reviewing training and competency with Team Leaders and assisting in arranging training where required.
· Reporting the site's QHSE performance to the leadership team and statutory authorities as and when required.
· Obtain and maintain sustainability accreditations.
Key Accountabilities
· Monitor Operational KPI and address causes and countermeasures across the site.
· Regularly report to site leadership through consolidated reporting od incidents, accidents, trends and mitigating actions
· Lead / manage /coach and develop individuals and participate in site QHSE activities such as audits and projects to maintain all site accreditations and certifications (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO
· Review Quality and safety root cause analysis and support as required, including understanding and complete accident investigation reporting, itemising root cause and safety control measures to be implemented to reduce reoccurrence throughout the group.
· To devise, develop and monitor effective Risk Assessment management strategies and make recommendations.
Training & Qualifications
· NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
· LEAN Six Sigma- Black Belt or equivalent is desirable.
