Factory Operative - Temp to Perm - £16.30 per hour - 30 Hours per Week - Own Transport Essential
We are currently recruiting for a Factory Operative on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business located in the Essex countryside, between Maldon and Tolleshunt D'Arcy.
This is a temporary-to-permanent position: you will begin with an initial three-month period through Prime Appointments, with a view to becoming a permanent employee thereafter.
Role Details:
Hourly Rate: £16.30
Hours: 6:30 am - 12:30 pm, five days per week (fixed days, may include one weekend day)
Flexibility: Shift patterns may be subject to change
Location: Rural Essex - own transport is requiredKey Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor production machinery safely and effectively
Perform visual quality checks on finished products
Accurately complete production and compliance documentation
Set up, adjust, and calibrate machinery as required
Handle raw materials and products, including manual handling and heavy lifting
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas
Operate pallet and pump trucks when necessary
Strictly follow all health and safety guidelines and site proceduresWhat We're Looking For in our Factory Operative:
Previous experience in a manufacturing and production environment preferred
Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
Counterbalance forklift licence desirable but not essential
Own transport is essential due to remote location
Reliable, punctual, and team-focused
Willingness to work overtime when needed
