About the Role
We are currently seeking an Associate Lecturer in Computing to join our Computing and Digital Technologies department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities
* Curriculum Delivery – Teach engaging and innovative lessons across Level 1 IT, Level 2 Information & Creative Technology, and Level 3 Extended Diploma in Computing.
* Assessment & Feedback – Monitor student progress using Pro-Monitor, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
* Curriculum Development – Collaborate with the IT team to enhance course content and support quality assurance processes.
* Student Support & Engagement – Create a supportive learning environment and encourage learner participation.
* Compliance & Professionalism – Uphold safeguarding, EDI, and health & safety standards, engage in ongoing professional development, and support college-wide initiatives.
About You
* Academic & Subject Expertise – Holds a degree in Computing or a relevant subject, with experience teaching Level 1 IT, Level 2 Information and Creative Technology, and Level 3 Extended Diploma in Computing.
* Teaching & Assessment Skills – Skilled in planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback.
* Communication & Collaboration – Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Commitment to Quality & Development – Strong work ethic, passionate about teaching, and dedicated to maintaining high standards and continuous professional growth.
* Learner-Centred Approach – Motivated by student success and able to inspire and support learners across different levels and backgrounds.
