We are looking for a talented and passionate Photographer/Videographer to volunteer with our charity and become our main point of contact for all photography and video needs.

As our Photographer/Videographer, your work will have a direct and significant impact on the visibility and success of our charity. By capturing high-quality images and videos, you will help us Raise Awareness Your visual content will play a crucial role in showcasing the charity’s mission and the important work we do. It will allow us to reach a wider audience, including potential donors, volunteers, and partners, by telling our story in a compelling and engaging way. Inspire Support The photographs and videos you create will highlight the tangible impact our charity has on the community. This will inspire others to get involved, whether through volunteering, donations, or spreading the word about our cause. Strengthen Our Brand Your content will contribute to the professional and cohesive image of our charity. Consistent, high-quality visuals will reinforce our brand identity, making our communications more effective and memorable. Engage Our Community Your work will be shared across various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and our website, creating a deeper connection with our supporters. By showcasing real moments and the people behind our charity, you’ll help build a stronger, more engaged community. Ultimately, the impact of your work will help propel our charity’s mission forward, ensuring that we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. Your creative contribution will help amplify our voice and inspire action.
What are we looking for?
Skills Photography & Videography Strong ability to take high-quality photos and videos in various settings (indoor, outdoor, events, etc.). Proficiency with different camera equipment and lighting techniques is highly valued. Editing Skills Experience with photo and video editing software (such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or similar tools) to produce polished content ready for use. Social Media Savvy Understanding of social media platforms and how to create visually engaging content for these channels. Knowledge of creating content for online marketing and awareness campaigns is beneficial. Organisation Ability to manage multiple projects at once, from planning shoots to editing and delivering content on time. Attention to detail is key. Experience Prior experience in photography and videography, ideally in a professional or volunteer capacity. Experience in documenting events, creating promotional videos, or working with charitable organisations is a plus. Familiarity with creating content that aligns with a brand’s voice and mission. Experience with live events and capturing spontaneous moments that tell a story. Qualities Passionate A genuine interest in our cause and a desire to contribute your skills to a meaningful charity. Creative Ability to think outside the box and capture unique perspectives that reflect the charity's mission and values. Reliable & Self-Motivated You should be able to work independently, managing your time effectively while meeting deadlines. Team Player While you will have independence in your work, you'll also need to collaborate with our team to ensure the content fits the overall strategy and objectives. Adaptable Comfortable working in various environments, from outdoor events to office settings, and able to adapt to different conditions and challenges. Strong Communication Ability to work closely with staff and volunteers, taking direction when needed and providing feedback or ideas during creative discussions. This role requires someone who is not only skilled with a camera but also passionate about telling the charity's story in a visually compelling way and helping us make a lasting impact in the community.
What will you be doing?
As our Photographer/Videographer, you will be the go-to person for capturing high-quality visual content that showcases the heart and soul of our charity. Whether it’s at community events, fundraising activities, or trips, your photography and video footage will help us bring our story to life and engage our audience. You will work closely with our team to ensure we have compelling images and videos that reflect the impact of our work. You will have the opportunity to be creative, producing content for our social media platforms, website, newsletters, and other marketing materials. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills to make a difference, gain experience in a charity environment, and build your portfolio while contributing to a worthwhile cause. Key Responsibilities Attend charity events, trips, and activities to take professional photographs and video footage. Edit and deliver high-quality images and video content to the charity’s communications team. Ensure all photos and videos are in line with the charity's branding and messaging. Assist in the creation of promotional material, such as event highlights or short video clips for social media. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure visual content is delivered in a timely manner. This role offers flexibility, and you’ll be an integral part of our creative process.
