Overview
This role is a Retail Supplier & Fulfilment Manager for the British Heart Foundation (BHF). We are looking for a confident and organised professional with experience in a retail environment to lead supplier relationships and fulfilment operations across the BHF's retail network.
You will take charge of procurement activity, monitor spend, and ensure value from suppliers while staying within budget. You will work closely with suppliers, finance, procurement, and retail teams across the UK to improve ordering systems, boost efficiency, and strengthen cost control. You will also manage key supplier accounts, conduct regular performance reviews, and lead an annual review to identify new opportunities for improvement. This is a key role in keeping our retail operations running smoothly and cost-effectively to support funding for life-saving research.
Responsibilities
* Lead procurement activity and oversee supplier relationships to support the BHF retail network
* Monitor spend and ensure value from suppliers while staying within budget
* Collaborate with suppliers, finance, procurement, and retail teams to improve ordering systems, efficiency, and cost control
* Manage key supplier accounts and conduct regular performance reviews
* Lead annual reviews to identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications and skills
* Experience with managing people
* Strong ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
* Clear and effective communication (written and verbal)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across teams
* Excellent IT skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis capabilities
Working arrangements
This is a hybrid role, with time split between home and at least one day per week in the base office (Northampton or Greater London House). Flexibility is required to support the best work for the cause. The role is a 32-hour week, which can be worked over 4 or 5 days.

Interview process
The interview process consists of two stages. First-stage interviews will be via Teams on Thursday 25 September and Friday 26 September. Second-stage interviews will be held in person at either our London or Northampton office on Thursday 2 October.
