We are recruiting a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to take a senior technical and leadership role within a well-established geotechnical consultancy delivering complex UK infrastructure and government projects. This role suits a senior professional with a strong grounding in both geology and geotechnical engineering, who can lead teams, provide technical authority and manage projects requiring high levels of assurance and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Safeguard confidential information and intellectual property. Promote health and safety for yourself and others. Lead detailed geotechnical investigations, including drilling and analysis of soil and bedrock samples. Manage geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigations from scope to completion. Apply advanced geotechnical engineering principles and project management skills. Use industry-standard software such as FREW, SLIDE, Settle 3D, and Plaxis. Ensure compliance with Eurocode 7, UK annex design codes, and construction specifications. Lead and review geotechnical design, analysis and technical reporting Line manage, mentor and develop engineers and geologists Preferred Qualifications Degree in Geology with an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering.
