Behaviour Mentor
Are you passionate about helping young people make positive choices and reach their potential?
We’re looking for a Behaviour Mentor to join our vibrant, inclusive secondary school community in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is more than a pastoral support role, it’s about building trust, guiding behaviour, and making a real difference in the lives of students who need it most.
What you’ll do as a Behaviour Mentor:
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with students needing behaviour or emotional support
* Support academic engagement through structured tutoring and mentoring
* Act as a positive role model, promoting respect, boundaries, and resilience
* De-escalate conflict and help students re-engage with learning
* Liaise with teaching staff and external agencies to ensure joined-up support
Ideal candidate:
* Strong presence and ability to build positive relationships with young people
* Confident supporting learning and managing behaviour in a school environment
* Calm, consistent, and solution-focused
* Committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and unlocking potential
Why this role?
* Join a committed pastoral team in a school that values character and care as much as academic outcomes
* Excellent training and ongoing development
* A chance to change lives and be part of a student’s long-term success story
* Strong team ethos and leadership support
