Job Summary
The Nursery Room Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursery room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role requires strong management and leadership skills to guide a team of childcare professionals while fostering positive relationships with children and their families. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and a passion for working with young children.
Duties
* Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance and support to staff members.
* Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's development in line with early years frameworks.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery by maintaining a clean and secure environment.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
* Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and any incidents that occur within the nursery.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive approach to childcare and education.
* Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 3 early years qualification is required.
* Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare setting.
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is essential.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Strong organisational skills to manage daily operations efficiently.
* A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development in a supportive environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
