JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join a professional property consultancy delivering high-quality rural and residential design solutions.
As an Architectural Technologist you will support projects from initial concept through to technical delivery, producing accurate working drawings, specifications, and construction details in line with UK Building Regulations.
Working as an Architectural Technologist you will collaborate with architects, surveyors, and planning teams, ensuring designs are practical, buildable, and meet client and regulatory requirements.
This role offers the chance to work on bespoke housing, barn conversions, and small-scale developments, providing variety, autonomy, and genuine opportunities for professional growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prepare and Develop detailed architectural drawings, plans, and technical information
* Support Projects through planning, tender, and building regulation stages
* Collaborate Closely with architects, surveyors, and consultants to ensure coordinated designs
* Attend Site Visits and client meetings – a full UK driving licence is required
* Ensure Compliance with UK Building Regulations and planning legislation
* Contribute to sustainable and practical design solutions for rural and residential schemes
* Manage Documentation efficiently, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
* Provide Technical Input during the design and construction process
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Proven experience of working as an Architectural Technologist or similar role within UK practice
* Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and UK Building Regulations
* Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit (preferred)
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and consultants
* A proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* A team player who can also manage tasks independently across multiple projects
