The West Sussex Breast Screening Unit based in University Hospital Sussex Hospital in Worthing is looking for a new dynamic team member to join our friendly and hardworking team.
Overview
If you are an organised and hard working person with good communication and interpersonal skills who can interact with patients and colleagues at all levels with tact and diplomacy, then we would love to hear from you.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team that has many responsibilities. You will need to be able to work unsupervised and within a team. You may be required to train other colleagues on different tasks or train new members of staff.
Please note that if you currently work for another NHS Trust or UHSussex and you are applying to accept this position as a secondment opportunity, before applying you must seek agreement and authorisation from your current Trust/Manager. Secondments can’t be agreed without this approval. If you are unable to gain approval, you should refrain from applying unless you wish to take this role as a fixed term position.
Responsibilities
* Inviting the eligible population for Breast Screening and a smaller cohort for Very High Risk Screening, managing the results process, overall results generation or recalling for further assessment.
* Responding to client enquiries and changes of appointments via telephone and email.
* Maintaining the screening databases and ensuring failsafe reports and checks are performed.
* Taking part in audits and compliance checks to meet Screening Quality Assurance standards.
Benefits and Work Environment
At UHSussex, diversity is our strength, and we want you to feel included to help us always deliver Excellent Care Everywhere, as reflected in our Outstanding for Caring CQC rating. Your uniqueness and experiences will be part of our creative and innovative community where everyone is encouraged to succeed. We have a range of staff networks to help break down barriers, and can offer a buddy to help new members settle in. We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 3) and a Veteran Aware Trust.
