Building Control Technical Support Officer - Facilities & Environment
Vickerstock are working in partnership with Lisburn City Council to recruit a Building Control Technical Support Officer to support the delivery of an efficient, effective and equitable Building Control Service. This is a temporary role within the Environmental Services directorate, supporting the Council's statutory duties under Building Regulations, associated legislation and environmental management.
The successful candidate will make a positive contribution to the achievement of service objectives and support the day-to-day operation of the Building Control function.
The Role
1. Assisting with the administration and enforcement of Building Regulations and allied legislation
2. Supporting the delivery of an efficient and effective Building Control service
3. Contributing to environmental management activities as required
4. Assisting in the achievement of service objectives and operational targets
5. Undertaking other appropriate duties reasonably assigned by the Operations Manager
What You'll Need
6. Experience working within a technical, regulatory or local government environment
7. Strong administrative and organisational skills
8. Ability to work accurately and manage competing priorities
9. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
10. In depth understanding of Building Control or regulatory services
