Overview of the role
The Team Leader provides support and guidance to a team of social care workers, ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will liaise with seniors in the home and report any concerns. You should have experience in the care sector and be willing to learn and expand your knowledge. You will make a significant difference in people's lives and enjoy activities such as days out and trips, contributing to a safe, happy, and fulfilling environment for residents.
Key duties
* Supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
* Supervising a team and assisting with the management of the home
* Liaising with managers and shift leaders
* Completing tasks professionally, promptly, and accurately
* Supervising mealtimes to promote positive attitudes towards food
* Assisting residents in daily activities both inside and outside the home
* Supporting residents during activities and daily tasks using your initiative

Victoria Lodge supports up to nine individuals with mental health conditions and complex needs, including alcohol dependency. Located in Southsea near local shops and the Kings Theatre, with easy access to beaches and public transport. The lodge provides 24-hour support, helping residents rebuild daily living skills and access community resources. Our Activity Coordinator develops tailored activity programmes based on individual preferences and capabilities.
