Job Title: Admin Assistant

Duration: This is a temporary role, and it is currently due to last until roughly 31st December

Location: Gregory House, St Martins Hospital, Canterbury, CT1 1TDEureka Place, Ashford, TN25 4BY

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm

Pay Banding: Band 2 – £12.51 per hour

Trust Location: Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust

The postholder must have the following experience:

Administrative experience

Good typing skills

Good customer service

Job Description

We are looking for an administrative assistant to join our team in Canterbury. Our administration offices are busy places and our clinical teams rely on our teams to provide an efficient, effective service to support them in delivering the very best care to our patients.

High-quality admin services are vital for ensuring the smooth running of our service; you can expect your days to be full of variety and challenge - some of the responsibilities for the role are listed below:

· Daily opening of post, date stamping and despatch

· Data entry e.g. inputting of information such as new referrals, results of tests or questionnaires

· Check relevant systems e.g. RiO for clinic appointment lists

· Liaising with other internal departments

· Photocopying

· Preparation of variety of documents and correspondence from tape, digital dictation or notes

· Printing information in spreadsheet or report format as required

· Likely to process confidential information

· Laminating of posters or reports and binding as appropriate

· Booking of appointments and, with appropriate supervision from the Administrators

· Arranging meetings and events

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
