Mechanical Project Manager Location: East Midlands (Regional Travel Required) Salary: Up to £70,000 (DOE) Car / Allowance Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent The Company An established mechanical and building services contractor with over 20 years of experience delivering commercial and industrial M&E installations across the East Midlands and surrounding regions. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager to support increasing project demand. This is a genuine growth hire. Mechanical package values typically range from £250k to £3m, with around three live projects managed at any one time (dependent on size and complexity). Projects are delivered across the wider region, so travel will be required. The Role As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of mechanical packages across commercial and industrial projects. Key responsibilities include: Liaison with clients, supply chain, site teams and senior management Programme planning and coordination Health & Safety management (with support from QHSE) Financial management, procurement and cost control Attendance at internal financial and progress meetings Preparation of method statements and risk assessments Specification and ordering of mechanical plant, equipment and materials Management and briefing of installation teams Resolving installation and access challenges Completion and submission of commissioning records, O&M manuals and as-installed documentation You will typically manage around three live projects concurrently. Requirements Strong background in commercial / industrial mechanical building services projects Proven Mechanical Project Management experience Experience delivering packages from £250k - £3m Strong commercial and financial awareness Technical mechanical design knowledge across HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, pipework and plumbing systems Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills Proactive, client-focused mindset Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent) CSCS / ECS Card IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS Full UK Driving Licence Advantageous Primavera P6 or similar planning software experience HNC / HND in Building Services Engineering Working Hours Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Hybrid working available (office / site / home split depending on project load) Package & Benefits Salary up to £70,000 (for a strong senior candidate) Company car or car allowance 25 days holiday bank holidays Company pension Employee ownership scheme Work phone & laptop Ongoing training and development
