* Role 1 – Mechanical Engineering - Montrose (Full-time on site)
* Role 2 – Mechanical Engineering - Barnard Castle (Full-time on site)
* Role 3 – Mechanical Engineering - Worthing (Full-time on site)
* Role 4 – Mechanical Engineering - Ware (Full-time on site)
Responsibilities and learnings (typical)
* Ownership of maintenance life cycle plans (establish, update, review)
* Perform failure investigations
* Develop technical specifications for maintenance contracts
* Provide technical input and approvals under the Plant Modification Procedure
* Make recommendations on technically complex issues with potential business impact
* Consider legal, regulatory and financial implications of engineering standards and changes
* Ensure asset care activities are performed in a compliant manner
* Understand commitments/requirements of the Quality Management System
* Follow Good Manufacturing Practice principles
* Role-specific learnings for Barnard Castle, Worthing and Ware cover reliability studies, predictive maintenance, maintenance optimisation, DMAIC problem solving, safety and quality risk assessments, and cost-saving analyses
Qualifications and eligibility
* Education: Currently studying an IMechE-accredited undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Other requirements: Completed a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate study and not yet graduated at start of placement; enrolled at a UK or ROI university for duration of placement
* If you have already graduated with a bachelor's degree and are studying a postgraduate Masters, you are not eligible
* Language: Written and spoken fluency in English
Dates and duration
* Expected start date: July 2026
* Duration: 1 year (approximately)
Salary and workplace
* Salary: £25,400 plus a bonus
* Workplace arrangements: Full-time on site; read the arrangements for each role before applying
