We are looking to recruit self-motivated individual to join the Domestic Department at Worthing Hospital as a Senior Supervisor, who can work on their own and/or as part of a team, the post holder will be responsible for managing Domestic staff on a daily basis.
Main duties of the job
To ensure that the Domestic teams carry out their duties following departmental and Trust policies under guidance from the Assistant Domestic Manager. To communicate with all users of the services on a regular basis to ensure the service specifications are being delivered to agreed standards.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

1. To assist in providing and receiving complex information through formal reports and at meetings.
2. To assist in preparation and interrogation of complex financial information, and react accordingly.
3. Ensure high levels of staff morale by motivation and personal leadership.
4. Maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other health service business in accordance with Trust Policy.
5. Provide effective communication and to support and facilitate all types of meetings which have relevance to the operation of the department
6. To aid Hospital staff, visitors and patients when faced with difficult situations caused by third parties, following Trust policies and procedures.
7. To investigate and resolve complaints speedily and effectively, keeping a positive image of the department even when feedback is less than positive.
8. Take a leading role in any departmental Information Technology initiatives.
9. Supporting staff to maintain the cleanliness of all patient areas.

10. NVQ 4 in a management discipline or equivalent experience, Evidence of continual professional development
