IT Project Manager – Belfast - £650-700 per day (Inside IR35)
Market-leading Telecommunications organization requires an experienced Senior Project Manager to join them on a contract basis.
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing supplier, stakeholder, and customer relationships while assisting with the implementation of a new billing solution project that involves data migration and some UAT management.
This role is offered on a Hybrid basis, with onsite attendance 2 days per week in Galway City. With a supportive working environment and generous daily rates, this role is a great opportunity for Project Managers who wish to expand their experience with government or semi-sector clients.
Responsibilities of the role
* Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to define and achieve mutual understanding of the project scope.
* Identify and schedule all work required to fulfill the scope, building a detailed project plan to track progress.
* Plan projects in detail to ensure integration of activities, identify dependencies, and understand critical paths and milestones.
* Ensure compliance with Quality Policy, including review periods and quality gates.
* Identify non-people resources to ensure the project budget remains accurate and affordable.
* Implement a robust process for risk and issue management, including mitigation actions and contingency plans.
* Establish and manage an effective project reporting structure to measure and track performance.
* Lead procurement schedules, ensuring the engagement of appropriate suppliers for each project.
Essential Candidate Requirements
* Third-level degree or postgraduate qualification in Technology, Finance, or Business Management.
* Project Management Certification – Prince2, PMP.
* At least five years’ experience as an Intermediate IT project manager, working with diverse stakeholders, and familiarity with formal methodologies (PRINCE2, ITIL, or equivalent).
* Experience successfully implementing two (2) large and complex IT projects within budget and timelines.
* Strong knowledge of networking technologies/products (particularly Cisco), Microsoft Azure/Office 365, and a good understanding of Enterprise IT Architecture.
* Experience leading cross-organizational collaboration to deliver IT change.
