This is an expression of interest - we are open to speaking to Mechanical Engineers at all stages of their careers that want to join us in our offices in Warrington, Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle. You will be involved in the whole project life cycle from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support including site surveys and investigations. You will hold responsibility for working and liaising with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community. More senior Engineers will manage and guide the more junior members of the team and help with their development.
Responsibilities include:
1. Design and review technical outputs such as specifications, pump and aeration system sizing, schedules, and reports.
2. Collaborate on design outputs with other disciplines, including General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
3. Deliver technical presentations and participate in design discussions, safety reviews, HAZOPs, and ALMs.
4. Provide technical leadership and support the development of junior engineers.
5. Assess existing water and wastewater treatment infrastructure and develop mechanical designs accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Ideally Chartered Mechanical Engineer with water industry experience.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
* Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes.
