My client, a respected fire systems specialist based in Southwest London, is looking for a Junior Fire Alarm Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with engineering knowledge, fire alarm experience, or a background in electrical/low‑voltage systems who wants to move into estimating, design support, and project costing.
The Junior Fire Alarm Estimator Role
* Supporting senior estimators with the preparation of quotes and tenders
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and site information
* Assisting with take‑offs, cost calculations, and bill of materials
* Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing and technical information
* Helping to prepare proposals and client documentation
* Learning fire alarm standards, system design principles, and estimating processes
* Working closely with the projects and engineering teams
What We’re Looking For From the Junior Fire Alarm Estimator
* Some experience or exposure to fire alarms, electrical systems, or low‑voltage engineering
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Good communication and willingness to learn
* Ability to read technical drawings (advantageous but not essential)
* A proactive, detail‑driven approach
* Interest in progressing into a full Estimator or Design Engineer role
