We are seeking a dedicated Specialist Instructor to lead our unique angling provision within our Alternative Provision (AP). This role involves planning and delivering practical, hands-on sessions that teach fishing techniques, water safety, and environmental awareness, while simultaneously improving the Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and educational engagement of our students. The Role: Angling for Engagement This is a unique opportunity to blend outdoor education with essential pastoral support. You will be responsible for: Curriculum Delivery: Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons covering different types of fishing, knot tying, equipment care, safety (including first aid), and fish identification. Therapeutic Support: Using the calm, structured environment of fishing to develop students' patience, focus, self-regulation, and confidence.
