We are looking for a diligent and enthusiastic Front Office Assistant (32 hours per week) within Quarter Short Lets. Working with the team at our Head Office in Clifton, our ideal applicant will be proactive, organised and have great people skills.

How Quarter Short Lets Operates
Quarter Short Lets is part of Quarter – an established, independent community of hospitality businesses that has been satisfying guests for over 60 years! Quarter Short Lets includes two brands: Clifton Short Lets and Host360. Clifton Short Lets manages short-term rentals in shared houses in Clifton, while Host360 handles bookings and housekeeping for holiday and corporate lets across Bristol.
Key Details For The Front Office Assistant Position
* 32 hours per week worked over 4 days, including one full weekend per month
* Shift times are either 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm, or 10am - 6pm
* Salary package of £21,826, comprising a basic salary of £20,841 per annum (based on 32 hours per week) and an on-target bonus of £985 per annum (pro rata of the full-time package of £25,400 plus £1200 in bonuses)
Responsibilities of the Front Office Assistant
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, your duties will include:
* Maintaining and enhancing the reputation as a premier short lets and rental provider
* Conducting property viewings, selling rooms, and making reservations for Clifton Short Lets and Host360 properties
* Issuing paperwork to new guests
* Responding to email inquiries sent to the central Clifton Short Lets and Host360 inbox
* Liaising with property owners and the Account Executive regarding host inquiries
* Admin tasks for onboarding new properties: guest handbooks, cleaning checklists, updating internal info
* Organising check-ins and check-outs following company procedures
* Processing payments as per company policy
* Handling guest inquiries and complaints professionally
* Updating web channels regarding room sales
* Managing keys securely, monitoring possession, and ensuring spare keys are available
* Resolving maintenance issues by liaising with property owners and the Property Development team
* Working on a rota that includes one weekend in three, decreasing to one in four weekends soon
Ideal Candidate Profile
The role is office-based and customer-facing. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, some hospitality experience, and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Reliability, organisation, and initiative are essential. Confidence and strong communication skills are vital for handling inquiries professionally. Experience with property management systems or channel managers is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
