Join to apply for the Clinical Lead ADHD Nurse Specialist (prescriber post) role at Medway Community Healthcare
Medway Community Health is looking for employees who share our ambition and vision to deliver our three key values and have the drive to take us forward, delivering the highest quality care and ensuring MCH continues to be the first choice for patients.
As part of this, we are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Advanced Nurse Prescriber with experience in working with children and young people with ADHD. The successful candidate will work alongside paediatricians and therapists to help lead our neurodevelopmental pathway.
You will be responsible for managing staff within this pathway, ensuring effective coordination and delivery of care across the multidisciplinary team. The full ADHD caseload will be monitored, and the role will involve reviewing medication alongside monitoring symptoms to ensure the correct prescription, working closely with paediatricians.
Children and their families will be supported through our extensive parent education sessions, parent support groups, and individual packages of care delivered by the team.
You will use your prescribing skills on a daily basis and hold a key role in ensuring transformational change for this cohort of children and young people. In return, we will support you to develop your clinical and leadership skills. This position sits within a wider team that includes nursing, and therefore exceptional team working skills are essential.

o Demonstrate exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
* Service Development:
o Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the ADHD service.
o Engage in leadership development and continuous professional growth.
So what else?
* This is your chance to join a progressive and innovative service in a social enterprise that is patient and staff focused - you’ll even have the opportunity to become an MCH shareholder.
* We encourage staff to get involved in exploring new ways of working and service development.
* We’ll provide well established, in-service training, one to one supervision, and appraisals with regular support.
