Contract: Permanent | Flexible working options
Sometimes the smallest moments make the biggest difference.
We’re looking for caring, patient, and compassionate Care Workers to support people in their own homes and communities — helping them live with dignity, comfort, and independence.
This is a role for someone who doesn’t just do care, but feels it. Someone who understands that a conversation, a smile, or simply being there can mean the world to another person.
A Role That Truly Matters
As a Care Worker, you’ll be supporting individuals who need a little extra help due to age, illness, disability, or changes in their health. Every day will be different, but the heart of the role stays the same: treating people with kindness, respect, and understanding.
Sometimes you may be the only person a client sees that day — which makes what you do even more important.
Pay & Working Pattern
You’ll be paid £12.50 per hour, with hours agreed around your availability wherever possible.
Rotas run Monday to Sunday
Schedules are shared in advance so you can plan ahead
Shifts include early mornings and a minimum of two late evenings
Call times typically range from 6:30am to 10:00pm
Part-time roles are available alongside ongoing rota commitments
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting with personal care such as washing, dressing, and medication
* Preparing meals and helping maintain a clean, comfortable home
* Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional reassurance
* Encouraging activities that stimulate the mind and lift the spirit
* Accompanying clients to appointments or social outings (where appropriate)
* Helping with shopping and small errands
* Observing and reporting any changes in health or wellbeing
* Keeping clear, accurate daily records
* Above all, you’ll help people feel safe, respected, and cared for
Training & Support
You won’t be expected to know everything from day one.
You’ll receive:
* A full induction
* Ongoing in-house training
* Regular support from supervisors and managers
* Opportunities to attend training sessions and team meetings
You’ll be part of a wider care team where your observations, ideas, and input are valued.
Who This Role Is For
This role could be perfect if you are:
* Naturally caring, patient, and compassionate
* A good listener who enjoys helping others
* Comfortable working independently but happy to be part of a team
* Flexible, practical, and reliable
* Previous care experience or qualifications are welcomed, but not essential — the right attitude matters most. We also encourage applications from those with backgrounds in other sectors who feel drawn to care.
* Follow care plans and risk assessments
* Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy at all times
* Work safely and responsibly, looking after yourself and others
* Report concerns or changes promptly
* Build positive, trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
Requirements
What You’ll Need
* A full UK driving licence
* Your own reliable vehicle
* The right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
* Ideally living within reasonable distance of the local area
