Sofies Hair is a mobile hairdressing service providing professional hair care in the comfort of clients homes. We are proud to support mainly elderly and housebound clients who may find it difficult to visit a salon. Our work is as much about kindness and patience as it is about hairdressing we bring companionship and care alongside professional service.
We are now expanding our team and looking for a caring and reliable hairdresser to join us.
About the Role
Full-time, Monday to Friday, typically 9:30am6pm
Travelling to clients homes across Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Fife
Providing a full range of hairdressing services including basic colouring, perming, shorter hairstyles (typically above the shoulders), and traditional wash & sets
Delivering a professional yet compassionate service that helps clients feel comfortable and valued
What Were Looking For
Fully qualified hairdresser
Confident in shorter hairstyles
Full driving licence (comfortable driving both manual & automatic cars)
A caring, patient, and compassionate nature
Flexible, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
PVG check required (we support with this)
Experience working with elderly or vulnerable people is a bonus but the right attitude matters most
