Do you believe in a better, fairer, sustainable world for all?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our circle. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and people-focused individual to work as a Talent & Culture Intern during a 10-month placement. This role is suitable for those currently in their second year of university on a course that allows for an Industrial Placement Year, who are passionate about working for a Business for Good.

Beyondly in a nutshell

At the heart of Beyondly is our planet. We deliver better solutions for a brighter tomorrow and are devoted to reinventing the wheel through our market leading environmental compliance scheme and sustainability services. We care about preserving humanity and our planet. Driven by our passion, we go above and beyond to make a real impact.

As a B Corp certified business, we are dedicated to being a force for good, fuelled by an energy to place equal importance on people, planet and performance.

By joining our circle, you will be part of a business for good and will contribute to our vision of creating a better, fairer, sustainable world for all. We ask that you have the passion to serve our purpose of leading, inspiring, and educating to positively impact society and the environment. In return, we promise to provide you with the best tools, support and working environment to flourish in all areas of your life.

The role

You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a broad range of people‑related activities, supporting initiatives that help Beyondly build a high‑performance, purpose‑led culture where our people can thrive. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of HR functions, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the employee lifecycle.

This is a genuine learning opportunity where you’ll be trusted with real responsibilities, supported by an experienced HR team and encouraged to develop skills that will set you up for your future career.

The responsibilities

During your placement, you’ll support the Talent & Culture team with activities including:

* Coordinating performance review cycles, employee surveys and analysing people data to provide insights and recommendations on our people practices
* Maintaining employee records via our HR system and supporting onboarding and offboarding processes
* Coordinating recruitment activity, job adverts and employer branding initiatives
* Supporting and delivering wellbeing, engagement and culture initiatives (including our mentor schemes, volunteering and social events)
* Assisting with rewards, benefits and recognition activity
* Supporting relationships with local schools, colleges and universities
* Gaining exposure and adding insight to HR policies, employment practices and people strategy

The perks

Beyondly attributes its ongoing growth and success to its employees and is committed to rewarding and recognising their contribution as well as prioritising employee well‑being and has won multiple awards over the last 5 years as a result of its approach to this. As well as the opportunity to be part of a unique reward structure, some of the benefits you will receive when joining the team include;

* Salary £22,500 per annum (pro‑rated to contract) plus performance related bonus in line with the existing reward framework.
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday off
* Flexible and hybrid working opportunities
* Support and opportunities for personal and professional development
* Access to employee benefits platform ‘Perkbox’ and membership to the all‑encompassing employee health and well‑being programme
* Other benefits include regular team building events, physical wellbeing allowance, paid volunteering opportunities and many more. Discover more about the host of benefits Beyondly employees receive here: https://www.beyond.ly/about/working-with-us/

The person

You’ll be curious, people‑focused and excited to learn with a genuine interest in what makes a great place to work. You’ll have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to build relationships at all levels, whether it’s face‑to‑face, in virtual meetings or via email. You’ll bring a high level of emotional intelligence and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally.

You’ll have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands. You’ll enjoy getting stuck in and supporting a wide variety of activities, from onboarding new starters and supporting engagement initiatives, to helping analyse survey results or coordinate wellbeing and social events. A proactive, can‑do attitude will come naturally to you, alongside a willingness to take ownership of your work and see things through.

You’ll be comfortable using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), taking a logical approach with high attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks. Previous experience in HR, people‑focused roles or administration is not essential – we’re far more interested in your mindset, values and willingness to learn. If you bring enthusiasm, care and a positive attitude, we’ll support you to develop the skills and confidence to thrive. A good sense of humour and a willingness to muck in with the team are a bonus too!

We require all new starters to work from the office every day for their first 3 months to learn the responsibilities of their role and to embed themselves in our company culture. After this point we offer a hybrid approach to working allowing employees to work from home up to 2 days per week, therefore living within commuting distance to Skipton should be considered when applying.

Click the ‘Apply’ button below to upload your application or email your CV and covering letter to HR@beyond.ly. For further information, call our team on 01756 706570. A more detailed job description will be provided at interview.
