Specific Responsibilities
* Teach students across the 11–16 age range, including GCSEs, under the direction of the Head of Faculty.
* Participate in developing schemes of work, taking responsibility in specific areas.
* Assess and report on students’ attainment and progress in KS3 and KS4, including GCSE grades.
* Teach according to the National Curriculum.
* Serve as a form tutor for an assigned group and perform related duties.
* Share supervisory duties as assigned.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ achievements and well-being.
* Use appropriate scaffolding techniques to support effective teaching.
* Set homework and plan out-of-class activities to reinforce learning.
* Establish and promote clear rules and routines for behaviour, aligning with the school’s behaviour policy.
* Understand and support the needs of all students, including those with SEN, high ability, EAL, disabilities, and use diverse teaching approaches.
* Impart knowledge and develop understanding through effective use of lesson time.
* Engage in professional development to improve teaching, responding to feedback.
* Understand assessment requirements, including statutory assessments.
