We are looking to appoint a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to work within our team at the RNAS Culdrose, Helston. The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week. Main duties of the job
To support the clinical and administrative staff of Medical Facility (MTF) Culdrose in providing a Primary Healthcare Service to entitled personnel. Clinical work will be delegated by senior clinicians and administrative work by the SNO or the practice manager in their absence. Care is carried out within the medical treatment facility. On occasions there may be a requirement to support Royal Air Force (RAF) St Mawgan as part of the group practice.
The role supports the strategy and mission statement for Defence Primary Health Care (DPHC) to ensure optimum health and well-being for patients and maximum deployability. Accountability and responsibility to DPHC and Ministry of Defence (MoD) policy are requirements of the post.

Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
* The Healthcare Assistant works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
* Maintains accurate electronic and written records, ensuring confidentiality and sharing information appropriately in line with MOD policy.
* Adheres to infection control policy and procedure.
* Participates in clinical audit and risk management within the practice.
* Reports any adverse events or near misses using the relevant reporting system.

Selection Process

When providing behavioural and technical examples, use real-life scenarios related to your experiences. Do not present ideas of others or generated by technology as your own.
Qualifications & Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or relevant experience.
Other requirements include working within MOD and security policies, providing evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B, and meeting the Civil Service Nationality Rules. This post is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and security checks. The role may be subject to a probation period and other standard civil service employment conditions.
Compensation
Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 per year (pro rata for part time). Pay award pending.
