Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary)

About the Role:
We are seeking a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with high SEND needs in our primary school based in Barking. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and the SEND team to ensure the pupil can access learning in a safe, supportive environment.
This role is full-time and will primarily be based in our SEND room, where you will help deliver tailored activities and provide personal care assistance as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a child with complex SEND needs.
* Support with personal care and daily routines in a respectful, dignified manner.
* Assist the pupil in accessing learning and sensory activities within the SEND room and classroom.
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider team to implement EHCP targets.
* Promote independence, communication, and wellbeing at all times.
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with high SEND needs, including personal care.
* A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
* Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to promoting pupil welfare.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
