Responsibilities
* Work as a Van Driver delivering to customers' homes with care, professionalism and great service.
* Represent GXO and IKEA while building the foundations of your HGV career.
* Ensure the vehicle and stock are properly secured.
* Perform vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and report all defects.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Full UK driving licence, no more than 6 current penalty points.
* Reliable, motivated and with a positive, can‑do attitude.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Physical capability to lift/move items.
* Multi‑drop experience is useful but not essential.
Training and Career Path
* With the GXO HGV Trainee Driver Academy you can progress from Van Driver to fully qualified Class 2 Driver within 12 months, all training fully funded.
* The academy includes automatic enrolment to gain your Class 2 licence, with zero upfront costs.
Work Schedule and Compensation
* Full‑time permanent basis, 48 hours per week, 5 on/3 off pattern, start times between 05:00 and 05:30.
* An annual salary of £35,744.72.
* Holiday pay and workplace pension.
