Role Overview
Gap Personnel is recruiting for reliable and hardworking Production Operatives to join a well-established food production company in Norfolk. This role involves working in a high-risk food manufacturing environment, where hygiene, quality, and safety standards are of the utmost importance. As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining the highest standards of safety in line with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Food Preparation & Production: Support the production of high-risk foods, ensuring all products meet quality standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
* Hygiene & Safety: Follow strict hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and safe working environment. This includes regular cleaning of equipment, workstations, and production areas.
* Monitoring Quality: Check the quality of products during the production process, ensuring they meet company standards.
* Packaging: Assist with the packaging and labeling of products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with product specifications.
* Machine Operation: Operate and monitor food production machinery, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork as required for production logs, quality checks, and safety records.
* Teamwork: Work closely with other operatives and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is beneficial, but not essential.
* Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions with attention to detail.
* A strong understanding of hygiene and food safety practices in a production setting.
* Comfort with working in a fast-paced and physically demanding role.
* Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work varied shifts.
* Own transport is required due to the location and shift times.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with high-risk food production environments.
* Experience working with food production machinery or packaging equipment.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food manufacturing.
