We are currently recruiting for a Sales Administrator to support and enhance our internal sales processes. About the role: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support the MSL Sales team with all aspects of order processing, sales administration, and customer service, alongside other general administrative duties. Working with our MRP system (Progress Plus), you will be responsible for entering orders on behalf of the Sales team. This includes creating accurate job packs, comprising work orders, supporting documents, and technical drawings, to enable our production team to manufacture the parts our customers require. As we operate in a technical industry, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential. You will also be keeping customers updated on the status of their orders, which requires regular coordination with departments such as Planning and Logistics. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service are vital for this role. The opportunity for flexible hours and hybrid working could be discussed subject to performance during the probationary period. Key Responsibilities: Process customer orders using the MRP system (Progress Plus) Create and manage job packs (work orders, technical drawings, and supporting documentation) for production use Ensure compliance with all Document Control requirements Answer incoming customer calls, respond to queries confidently, and provide timely updates on order status Liaise closely with internal teams at MSL to ensure smooth order fulfilment Contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, responsive customer service experience Perform other administrative tasks as required Buddy review of orders entered by other members of the Sales team Essential Skills/Experience: A strong team player with a professional and reliable approach Previous experience in order processing or sales administration Highly organised, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Confident communicator with outstanding customer service skills Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines Desirable Skills: Experience in an engineering or manufacturing company Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., Progress Plus) Basic understanding of technical drawings or job pack documentation Intermediate Excel skills We acknowledge that the most valuable aspect of business, is the people, and we are looking to recruit the next generation of our workforce!
