Middlemore are currently seeking a Chief of Staff to join our financial services client based in London. This position requires a highly organised and strategic professional who can act as a trusted advisor, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across all groups.
Chief of Staff
Location: London (5 days a week in the office)
Salary: £160,000 – £180,000 + 20% bonus + 25% LTIP
Start Date: ASAP
Travel: Monthly US travel (3–4 days per trip)
The Chief of Staff will be working across three main responsibility areas:
* Strategic support to the Executive team
* Project management and strategic planning
* Comms and coordination.

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, high-calibre Chief of Staff to support our Board and executive team in a truly flexible and varied role. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual, with a management consulting background, to work at the heart of a global business, acting as a bridge across teams and projects.
Key Deliverables & Targets
* Strategy & Projects: Lead and support strategic projects for shareholders, including market research, target operating model design, and special project initiatives
* Programme Management: Help run key business cadences and coordinate the yearly investor conference, including shaping our section—a three-month, high-impact project.
* Business Operations: Pick up and deliver on a wide range of tasks that the Board cannot address directly, from leadership recruitment to HR departures and corporate affairs.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders to anticipate challenges, pilot initiatives, and ensure smooth operations.
* Stakeholder Management: Earn the trust of diverse stakeholders and act as a confident and objective advisor to the Board.
* Output: Deliver high-quality, strategic insights and syntheses from multiple information sources, distilling what matters most and crafting compelling narratives.
Skills & Experience
* Background: 4–5 years of steady experience in big 4 management consulting
* Programme Management, Strategy, Corporate Governance, Operations, and Business Enablement expertise.
* No ego: Willingness to roll up sleeves and tackle any task, big or small, across all business functions.
* Discretion: Ability to handle confidential information with care.
* Strong Voice: Able to contribute objectively and thoughtfully within a close-knit, high-performing team.
* Ambition: This is a stepping-stone role for someone hungry for progression—aspiring to become a board member, CFO, CEO, or COO within 2 years.
* Flexibility: Able to travel at short notice and adapt to new challenges daily.
