A leading Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering Contractor are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position in Glasgow. This is a great opportunity to join a leading Scottish firm at an exciting time of growth not just in Scotland but throughout the UK. They are looking for a QS with a couple of years experience to join the team and assist on some key, recently awarded projects as well as play a role in the development of junior and trainee Quantity Surveyors. This role offers a good mixture of office, site and home based working with offices in Glasgow and West Lothian.

What you’ll be doing:
* The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing tender and contract documents, including performing risk, value management and cost control;
* You will perform cost analysis, seek funding options and prepare final accounts for submission;
* Negotiation and administration of Sub-Contracts and pay Sub-Contractors
* Manage the preparation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports;
* Be responsible for managing costs from inception to completion to minimise cost and maximising value for money.
What you’ll need to be successful:
* The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified, with at least an HNC in Quantity Surveying;
* Experience in Water and Wastewater fields is preferable, although any civil engineering background will be considered;
* At least 3+ years’ post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying;
